Michael Braun's Blog

Hi, my name is Michael Braun. I’m a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My studies focus on quantitative analysis of human communication. More specifically, I am interested in aging and media use, social media, technology adoption, and technology decision making.

Currently, I am working on projects related to obstacles to social media adoption in the elderly, communication media preference and its effect on interpersonal communication networks, preference for entertainment media across different age groups, and the detection of deception.

Past work experience includes working in technical support at Epic Systems Corporation from 2006-2008 and campus-based marketing for Apple Inc. when I was an undergraduate.
